Fave Freezer Meals

Filling your freezer can be so simple and approachable. I never ever regret the extra 15 minutes I take to double a recipe. But sometimes I really don't regret the Chick Fil A I pick up either. Balance.

First baby. Decorate nursery. Pack 15 hospital outfits. Wash all new clothes. Hang onesies on cute matching pink hangers.

Second baby. FILL THE FREEZER.

Ok, perhaps a bit of a stretch to make the point. The little man does have clean clothes, don't worry. But I knew this time around, I'd be more thankful to have a full freezer than a perfect nursery. I was honestly feeling too overwhelmed to do a full day of freezer meals, so I started to just double and freeze a meal or two each week. It was super doable!

One thing that makes freezing meals a breeze? A food saver. My mother in law gifted me one when we got married and I use it constantly. Essentially it sucks all the air out of the bag after you fill it and allows for food to last longer in the freezer as well as take up less space. I own this one. Target sells the bag refills, too.

Make a big pot of soup, divide it in individual portions in these bags. So easy to lay flat and store.

Toss some chicken breasts in with a favorite marinade and you've got an easy dinner to grab.

Buy meat in bulk? Divide it up and freeze in this way to keep it safe and fresh.

You get the picture.

Here's a set of my current favorite freezer recipes:

Chicken Taquitos from Bluegrass Burlap
We are obsessed with these, and you can also wrap individually so its an easy grab and go!

Lasagna Rollups from The Pioneer Woman

What does Ree make that ISN'T delish?!

Chicken Cacciatore from The Freezer Family

This site has sets of amazing batches you can do for multiple meals in one day!

Chicken Bake from Kylee Cooks

Sometimes you just crave a hearty good meal. I loved how many portions this made too, it filled the freezer well!

Mexican Lasagna from Renee's Recipe Collection

This is one of my mama's best friends and its homey, approachable and delish. Often a meal I take to new mom's!

Now, off to make sure there's diapers in this house...
