The Garden, The Curtain, and the Cross

Today we’re excited to read “The Garden, The Curtain, and the Cross” with you! My bff Kelsey Maloof recommended this book to us a few years ago and we love it. With Easter nearing, we thought it’d be a great pick, and the reminder of HOPE sure isn’t lost right now either!

This book is such a great one to have in your collection, find it on amazon HERE!

>>After we read the story together, you can play along at your house! The game we want to share with you today is a Cross Toss! Set up plastic cups (or whatever you've got on hand) in the shape of a cross, and see if you can get some objects in the cross shape! Bean bags, ping pong balls, rolled up balls of foil, make it work! I

We’ve also got some neat craft ideas you can run with. I’ll link them below!

  • This salt painting is awesome! I just ordered some watercolor paints since we are out, and then we’ll try it out!  https://www.catholicicing.com/fun-and-easy-cross-craft-for-kids/

  • Garden Sensory Bin: Use veggies that are going bad and create a sensory bin activity! This idea is from @youngwildandfriedman on instagram. She is one to follow for amazing sensory ideas and materials!

  • Cross Painting for littles. Tape off the cross shape and let them finger paint all over, then pull off the tape once dry and it’ll be a cross painting!
